☢️ Almost THREE months, HUNDREDS of complaints and pleas, and FINALLY they're doing what we've begged them to, or are they? - A very short rant.

The Bug Report for Happy At Home began on June 7, 2024.

I like how on September 23, 2024, they were FINALLY aware of the problem of lost Happy At Home rewards, not because of the almost THREE MONTH OLD Bug Report, but because of the replacement Bug Report they created for console simmers who LOST THEIR REWARDS WITH Update 9/18/2024 after they archived the old one.

Now, I'm happy to read that we're finally getting this resolved, but why are they framing this as though the rest of us on PC/Mac haven't been complaining about this for months?

Every time I've complained about this, every post I've made concerning this, I, as a PC simmer, have included a statement about console simmers having no good solution other than EAxis unlocking these items for all of us.

I truly hope they're not patching console simmers only.

If you're not aware, consoles don't get the same updates we do on PC/Mac. They don't always get updated the same time we do, nor do they always get the same bug-fixes we do. When Update 7/23/2024 broke our games, we on PC/Mac received an update fixing the panel bug and the mean bug, but console simmers had to wait - was it almost a week - to get that.

I suppose this is a "I'll believe it when I see it" type deal because right now everyone's harping on about the accountDataDB.package file and how our HAH entitlements are now in there instead of in UserSetting.INI, BUT THAT'S ONLY IF YOUR INI CONTAINED THE STRING OF CODE THAT UNLOCKS THE HAH REWARDS. If you lost your items and you never knew about that INI modification, accountDataDB don't do !@#$ for you. At least it didn't do !@#$ for me.

All this back and forth and round and round for an issue they could have resolved a month ago by doing the responsible thing instead of sideways blaming us for their !@#$ up.

Heavy sigh.

I really hope this is the end of the Happy At Home fiasco. I'm not gonna put as much energy into fighting the FOMO thing, because I know they won't listen, but I will drag them for Happy At Home Til Thy Kingdom Come if that's what it takes. At least with Reaper the rewards are permanent and they have 6 weeks to iron out the bugs so the event works and one week for us all to complete it, or they can extend it, though I doubt they'd do the latter.

Hi, Rei. I'm the one who asked you about TS4CC earlier and I'm glad you agreed with me to edit and use your textures. SIMS 4 updates the infants age stage, and I'd like to convert your Mouthbow and Teethbow to a version that works for infants. May I ask, do you agree?

I'm fine with any and all modifications of all my sims4 cc so long as you: 1. Credit me for textures if at all possible. 2. Have no plans to monetize the cc itself. (I'm not hounding you if you have a kofi or patreon just don't lock it behind that.) 3. Also please do not upload to Curseforge. I have fairly FOSS ideals to my CC that I think things can only be improved if we openly allow modification and collaboration. So go ahead and have fun converting or editing as you wish!

This time I’m coming around with this sweet book bed back in time when I wasn’t able to create or better modify meshes myself I always wished for a bed like this but I never could find one :(

Now I did it myself and I’m very excited to let my sims sleep in it after this bed was ill-fated because I did it before university and then the pack crashed the beds so I had to start all over again urgh .__.

But now back to the bed

EUREKA VALLEY POPULATED SAVE GAME

As promised in the previous post, we provide today the populated .savegame files to fully enjoy Eureka Valley ... and have a quick talk about the Residential Lots :) Oh ! and 2 small announcements at the end of this post ;)

What’s inside the .savegame files ?

- A populated Eureka Valley - A house we forgot to add in the Eureka Valley Word ... ( sometimes I wonder why we test a world during 15 days if we forget things and stuff !!! ) :D

- A simple Festival Lot which fits in size a terrain we left unbuilded in front of the Hospital ...

- We modified the Fire Station situation to fit much better with roads alongside. The kind of modification that will be in the update of Eureka Valley in few weeks/months ...

- Few details here and there but nothing important :D

Then let’s talk about Residential lots ... As you see, they are not bad at all ( only because we just rebuild them and not created from the ground because truly, there are so talented house builders around ! gosh ... )

This time, the Residential lots are more furnished than in Oaksoak Hollow ... Maybe not as furnished as you like but indeed we don’t want to over furnish since you surely prefer playing with your own tastes ;)

The point is ... to fully enjoy these lots ( both residential and community ) DO NOT FORGET TO GET the k-hippie build cc for all the cool textures inside :D

I do not have so many pictures of the cc itself but it’s mostly ( around 90% ) my own sims 4 build stuff I converted for the Sims 3 ( so pictures available in our sims4 walls threads ). Note to myself : do more build conversion .................. ;)

Interesting Fact : As I always build with the same CC ( when I use CC which is not so often really ! ) the provided cc will bring you the textures used in Oaksoak Hollow too ! ( and every future world )

A quick word now related to projects :

- There will be an Oaksoak Hollow update quite soon ...

- A new Sims 3 world is in the pipes : Shetland Harbour ( everything is in the title ) with a much more foggy feeling ( well ... Shetlands ! )
